New Project: Mental Health Treatment Hospital

In light of the recent leadership change at the Foundation, a new flagship project has been initiated to be developed over the coming years: the creation of a comprehensive Mental Health Treatment Hospital.

This state-of-the-art facility will be fully adapted to the evolving needs of modern mental health care in Europe. It will bring together several key services under one roof — combining a psychiatric hospital, an addiction treatment clinic, and a 24/7 care center for the elderly and socially excluded individuals. Our goal is to offer a space that provides both intensive treatment and long-term recovery, grounded in empathy, evidence-based care, and accessibility.

The hospital will also serve as an Academic Mental Health Center, offering training, internships, and hands-on learning opportunities for young professionals entering the field. We are committed to building a new generation of compassionate, well-prepared specialists by providing them with the infrastructure, mentorship, and interdisciplinary environment they need to grow.

In parallel, the hospital will host a Mental Health Research Center, dedicated to exploring the causes and treatment of psychiatric conditions — with a special focus on schizophrenia and depression. We will also conduct studies on social adaptation in children and older adults, trauma caused by war and pandemics, digital addiction, and effective treatments for various types of dependency. One of our key ambitions is to develop and promote innovative mental health prevention methods, ensuring that care begins long before a crisis occurs.

This project represents a bold step toward systemic change in how mental health is understood and treated in the European Union. By integrating research, treatment, education, and social support under one roof, we aim to create a new standard in mental health care — one that helps people navigate and overcome the psychological challenges of modern life with dignity and hope.
