European Mental Health Foundation – Strategic Leadership Competition

The Competition Committee of the European Mental Health Foundation hereby announces an open call for new Board Members, following the upcoming conclusion of the current Board's term. We have decided not to extend the current mandate and instead open the selection process to new candidates through a public competition.

We invite individuals with vision, passion, and expertise in mental health, nonprofit leadership, social innovation, or relevant public policy to submit their strategic project proposals for the development of the Foundation over the next 5 years.

Competition Rules and Guidelines

1. Objective:To select new Board Members of the European Mental Health Foundation based on the most compelling, feasible, and visionary strategic projects aligned with the Foundation's mission and future goals.

2. Eligibility:Applicants must be EU residents or citizens with proven experience in management, public service, healthcare, research, or NGO development. Multidisciplinary backgrounds are welcome.

3. Submission Requirements:

Strategic development plan for 2025–2030 (max. 5 pages)
CV or professional biography
Motivation letter
(Optional) Recommendation letters or portfolio of previous work

4. Key Dates:

Application deadline: January 15, 2025
Final decision and announcement of results: April 2, 2025

5. Evaluation Criteria:

Alignment with the Foundation’s mission and values
Innovation and feasibility of proposed strategy
Impact potential at the European level
Experience and leadership capacity of the candidate

6. Selection Process:Submissions will be reviewed by the Competition Committee composed of independent experts and current advisors to the Foundation. Selected candidates will be invited for an interview before the final decision is made.
